A data-center roof, running 40°F+ cooler.

A heat-loaded roof over sensitive equipment — a reflective coating cut peak roof-surface temperatures by more than 40°F. Here's how.

How It Went

Challenge, approach, result.

Challenge

A roof working against the coolers

A dark roof baking in the Texas sun, over equipment that has to stay cool — every degree of roof heat was working against the cooling system below.

Approach

A bright, reflective coat

We prepped and sealed the roof, then finished it in a bright, highly reflective coating built to bounce solar heat back off the building instead of soaking it in.

Result

40°F+ cooler at peak

Peak roof-surface temperatures dropped by more than 40°F — easing the load on the cooling system underneath, protecting the equipment, and sealing the roof under a fresh warranty at the same time.

Why it mattered to them

For a building full of heat-sensitive equipment, the roof is part of the cooling equation — and a dark, heat-soaked roof quietly runs up the power bill and the risk every single day.

The reflective coating flipped that. With peak surface temps down 40°F+, the cooling system has less to fight, the equipment sits in a steadier environment, and the roof is watertight and warrantied — one fix working on cost, uptime, and protection at once.
